This could be the way out of the AI struggles Apple has been having.

Recently, Mark Gurman reported about how Apple has been testing out a new internal AI currently dubbed 'Veritas,' though it is unclear if it will be released to the public. The reason that Apple is desperately trying to develop a better AI is due to their struggles with Apple Intelligence last year. The fully developed AI has been pushed back so many times that Apple has been brought to court over false advertising. Veritas is able to analyze and collect feedback and information about new Siri features like performing on-screen actions and combing through user data.

Just like other AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini, Veritas is a text-based app, with employees being able to type to it to get information. Gurman believes that it will not be released to the public, despite the desperate need for a fix for the AI mess of last year. Apple is still most likely focused on baking Gemini into iOS.

Despite the issues with Apple Intelligence, AI on iPhone seems to be interesting and changing and improving at a rapid rate. We will have to wait and see what Apple does soon.
