Apple reported to hold iPhone 17 launch event 'September 9'

The iPhone 17 is said to have a major redesign.
After many months of waiting, with leaks pouring in every day, it appears as though Apple will finally reveal the iPhone 17 on September 9th. Mark Gurman leaked this in his Power On newsletter recently, confirming my own beliefs.
How did I know that Apple would be holding the event on this specific day? Well, Apple has a pattern to the timing of all of their events, which makes it easy to pinpoint the exact day the company will hold it. While this is not true for every event (like the spring and later fall events), things like the September events for the new iPhones and WWDC are pretty easy.
Apple often holds events on Tuesdays, sometimes on Wednesdays, and rarely but recently sometimes on Mondays. The easiest guess is to pick the second Tuesday of September, since Apple also holds the September event nearly always in the second week of the month.

But how do we know that it will be a Tuesday for sure? It could be a Monday, Tuesday, or a Wednesday in the second week, right? Yes, but it's pretty uncommon for the September event to be on a day other than Tuesday. For other events, like the March/April event, or the October event, it is more common to be on other days. However, for the September event Apple often sticks to the Tuesday.
Yes, it is possible for the event to be on another day (last year's September event was on a Monday), but it is most likely to be on a Tuesday. We'll have to wait and see if this is right in the coming weeks.
