It's taken long enough.

Recently, information from "Instant Digital" has spread online, saying that Apple is set to include a redesign for the Apple Watch next year for Apple Watch Series 13. Apple Watch Series 12 is not expected to receive a major redesign, mostly focusing on smaller internal and incremental updates.

For Apple Watch Series 10, Apple was expected to change the form factor and design of the watch and possibly label it "Apple Watch Series X," along with the internal changes. The update was also supposed to include a new band system that would not be compatible with the current bands. The redesigned band mechanism was also supposed to free up internal space, which would allow for a larger battery.

These updates were not included in Apple Watch Series 10, and instead, Apple Watch Series 10 was thinner and had a metal back, slightly redesigning the form factor. However, this was not the major redesign we were expecting with Apple Watch Series 10.

Now, it looks like Apple is finally ready to include these updates in Apple Watch Series 13. The update was also previously expected to include a microLED display, which may or may not come to Apple Watch Series 13.

Even with the updates in the past with Apple Watch, the design has stayed roughly the same for many years now. Apple has not redesigned much with Apple Watch, other than Apple Watch Ultra, which is a major design change from the other Apple Watch models.

Apple's major redesign for Apple Watch Series 13 next year looks interesting, and it is one of Apple Watch's biggest design changes in years. We will have to wait and see what Apple does soon.
