Apple should go back to live events.

They were so much better than the pre-recorded videos.
As the September 9 'Awe-dropping' Apple event starts getting closer, people online have been hoping and wondering if Apple will go back to a real live event with a demo like they used to do pre-COVID. I saw the question first come up on 9to5Mac, where they used a poll to see what other people think about it.
Surprisingly, nearly 44% of people like the current format, with around 56% hoping for a live one. I think that Apple should go back to the real live events and I agree with the 56%.
The new pre-produced events feel more like infomercials than announcement events. The real live events carried warmth and excitement. Even the announcement for the Vision Pro and for Apple Intelligence weren't in person, and left much to be desired (both in their events and in the actual products themselves, it seems like many think).

Steve Jobs was especially good at the live events. And, yes, we are in a different era of Apple, one that is significantly different from even the era of 2015-2019. But bringing that energy and electric excitement back to the announcements of these products would be incredible.
This is not to say that Apple's work on creating these pre-produced events isn't incredible – they often have way higher production value than needed for a tech event. It's just that they could still do wonderful things – maybe even better than before – if they channeled that energy into creating a masterpiece of a live event.
Apple's September 9 event will be a great one. Will it be live or pre-produced? We will have to wait and see what Apple does soon.
