Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are being cancelled

How could the Switch 2 situation get worse?
We are only a few days away from the Nintendo Switch 2's release, one of the most hyped and anticipated console releases of this decade. The console is set to release on June 5th for $450, which is already a lot for a console that basically has the same processing power as the Xbox One. But, people have still been pre ordering the Switch 2, since the franchise of games Nintendo has built is so strong.
The release of this console has been scattered, with many fans still being angry at the price and attitude Nintendo is taking towards all of it. Not only is the Switch 2's price significantly higher than the original, but Mario Kart World, the hit game for the console, costs another $80. That is significantly more than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's price of $60, which is still too much according to a lot of fans.

There is also the fact that Nintendo has not released a new Super Mario Odyssey game or 3D Mario game at all for this console. Players have been waiting a long time for it and it seems like Nintendo is neglecting the character that brought them so much success in the first place: Mario.
And, to add flame to the fire, for some reason, Walmart has been cancelling people's pre-orders for seemingly no reason at all. People have been saying that, out of nowhere, their pre-order disappeared, with no explanation. Walmart responded to some of these customers by offering them a $15 gift card.

This is obviously not a great look to have, but giving $15 gift cards hasn't soothed gamers' attitudes. Many have commented on social media about it and Walmart's reputation has been hampered.
For worried customers, Target will still be selling the console on June 6th, and the Mario Kart World game to go along with it. It will be limited to one per customer, and it will be online only.
Either way, we will have to wait until June 6th to see what happens to these cancelled orders.
