It's coming up fast.

Recently, Tim Cook shared thoughts with Apple employees thinking and reflecting on what has happened with Apple and what is to come. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared how Tim Cook said that he has "been unusually reflective lately about Apple because we have been working on what do we do to mark this moment. When you really stop and pause and think about the last 50 years, it makes your heart sing. It really does. I promise some celebration."

This memo shared by Tim Cook also included some subtle hints at possible retirement, similar to what was reported on recently. This information from Cook says a lot about where Apple wants to move soon and what we could see from them. A pioneer in tech is not only celebrating half a century, but also the departure of their CEO that has grown the company exponentially. It's a time to be alive, and a time that does not occur very often.

This 50th anniversary "celebration" could manifest in a myriad of ways - through some kind of new product line or special edition, or, possibly more likely, an employee celebration of sorts. We could still see a limited edition Mac model, since the Mac is the closest basis to what Apple started with. It also lines up perfectly with April Fools (April 1, 1976), so they could coincide something with that as well.

Either way, this period for Apple is likely to be a significant one. Not only are the iPhone and iPad lineups selling better than ever, but also the Mac lineup is the strongest it's been in over a decade. Combine that with the departures, and the major milestones coming up, and Apple will have a lot on their plate. It is difficult to say what will happen, but whatever does happen will certainly be memorable. We will have to wait and see what Apple does soon.
